the beginning of another semester…

The spring 2013 semester has begun and I am actually looking forward to it, for the most part.  My class schedule is pretty easy – I only have two MWF classes and they are over by 1pm. Then I have three night classes; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  I love my night classes – I am definitely not a morning person.

The only thing that sucks about this semester is I am pretty much alone.  One of my roommates has an internship downstate so she’s gone during the week and some weekends, and my other roommate doesn’t really talk to me and she’s never home anyways.  I want a dog but I’d feel bad leaving him at home.

The good thing is I am pretty busy planning events for classes, my sisters wedding in September and our PRSSA banquet in April.  That’s four events to keep me busy. And thankfully my awesome boyfriend bought me Black Ops 2 for Christmas so when I have an hour to spare or having a bad day I can just go kill zombies. Doesn’t get much better than that.

My 23rd birthday is coming up in a little over two weeks. I cannot wait to go home and go to Turtle Creek Casino for their crab leg buffet. Mhm, mhm, mhhhhhm! My sister’s birthday is exactly a week before mine so we will be celebrating both of ours.  And on the 15th I get to go back home to celebrate my little brothers 21st birthday!! I can’t believe he’s going to be 21 in less than a month, it kind of terrifies me.

And then a couple more months later, probably sometime in April, I am going on a cruise with my boyfriend and I can’t wait for that either.  I haven’t been on one since June 2008 so it’s about time.  It’ll also be nice to just get away with just him since I really don’t get to see him all that often and it blows. I’m so geeked! Relaxing in the warm sun, drinking and just not worrying about anything sounds so serene and wonderful right now.

I decided to take summer classes at CMU this summer which sucks and doesn’t at the same time.  I was hoping to move home for good May 5th after the spring semester ends, but I decided stay for six more weeks to take three classes will save me a ton of driving next spring semester, and hopefully I can do my internship during that time and actually graduate May 2014. Six long years later.

I’ve got so much to look forward to in the next year that I am very grateful I have so many amazing people in my life.  Moving home, actually getting to do things with my friends and family in the summer and not feeling left out because I’m stuck downstate at school and work, my sisters wedding, hopefully moving in with Jeff and a bunch of other stuff I am just so darn excited about.

This post was mainly just a rant.  I’ve been wanting to get on here for a couple of weeks now and just kept putting it off.

My goal this year is to become a morning person.  I want to wake up by 9am – work out – (especially if I’m going on a cruise with Jeff in a couple of months) and enjoy the day instead of sleeping until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I will see how this goes.
