life is going good

Good news is… I’ve become a morning person. Friday morning I woke up at 5:30am to find that the university had a snow day, so I went back to sleep until 7. I tried and tried to sleep some more but it escaped me. For the entire day I layed in bed watching episodes of Supernatural while doing random loads of laundry and washing dishes. I looked at the clock and it was 3pm, if it had been two weeks ago and we had a snow day I would have just been getting up but I had experienced a whole days worth of activities and my day wasn’t even half over. It was a damn good feeling.

More good news… I am in love. Completely, head-over-heels in love. My birthday was a couple weekends ago (Feb. 2 in case anyone cares…) and I was finally able to spend it at home with my family and friends, and boyfriend. Best birthday ever. On our way to my moms, he gave me pretty pink roses and a card that said he loved me. FINALLY. I sure as heck didn’t want to be the first one to say it, but it’s been on my mind for awhile. That night we went to the casino for all-you-can-eat crab leg buffet (be jealous) and then went to my sisters for drinks, cake and presents. I kicked my soon-to-be brother-in-law and boyfriends butts in a disc golfing game on Playstation Move. Good beginning to my 23rd year on this beautiful Earth.

Anywho, I am pretty darn happy with life. My classes (for the most part) are going exceptionally well and keeping me busy. I only have 132 days until I can move back home and be around everyone I care about. I am currently planning a vacation of 20 or so people in August, planning and organizing a scavenger hunt to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a class, helping my sister with her wedding, and working on silent auction items for my PRSSA banquet in April. Therefore, the next couple of months will go by extremely quick.
